Dear All,
The beginning of this year to
now has been a period of hard work filled with joy and gladness. It started with renewed determinations to faithfully worship
and serve Jesus. Our goal was to
reach as many people as our ability could permit through the Lord’s leading and
blessings. In the process, we realized
that we needed to reach those who are already our members(regular attendants
and close associates) and ensure that all of us knew the same Lord and Savior,
and that we were carrying the same vision and purpose. We found out that a good number of our
members needed to understand that Christianity
is personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Consequently, we redefined our goal so that it became working with our
members to come to personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This we did and it is going well. On March 1, nine people were baptized! Praise the Lord!!! Others are eagerly asking to be baptized. Glory
to Jesus!
We had our first anniversary
celebration from February 27th to March 2nd. It was a success to the glory of God. From the USA, four people (David Knippel, OR;
Randy Walchle, FL; Norm Long IN, and Pastor Kevin Butcher MI), were our guests to
share in our first year joy. They touched
many lives through counseling, sharing the Word, encouraging, and various services
they offered. They said they were also
touched by the stories they heard, and the interactions they had with our
people. Glory to God!
As part of our anniversary
celebration, we had a two-day workshop led by Pastor Kevin Butcher of Hope
Community Church in Detroit, MI. It was
amazing! Truly,“For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any
double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and
marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Some people publically
told some of their stories that they have never shared with anyone before. Those things were severely suppressed in the
hearts and minds. The Word of God, propagated
at the workshop, penetrated and exposed the judgments and attitudes of hearts
and minds. Tears and strong desires for
healings from inner wounds characterized the atmosphere of the workshop. Many people were pleading for repeat or
follow-up workshop. Some people appealed,
and are still appealing that the workshop should become an annual event. Please remember us in your prayers in this
regard.
Individual counseling was
temporarily suspended for most of the first quarter due to over-engagements,
including preparations for the anniversary celebration, but it has resumed
intensely. We are praying that the Lord
will provide people to enhance effective counseling and other ministries.
The pastoral counseling ministry
is gaining momentum though slowly. The snail pace is due to over-engagement of
pastors. We have been discussing in
order to find a suitable time that could work for a good number of us, but
we are still at a deadlock. We
appreciate your prayers! Meanwhile, an
office space has been secured through the kind assistance of Rebuild
Africa. This is great step forward. Praise the Lord!
Thanks to all of you who
contributed toward the servicing of my vehicle.
It is going strong now. It served
our foreign guests during our anniversary celebration, and it continues to serve
us.
I am thankful to the Lord for
your continue supports. One of the
pillars of effective ministry is effective support. You have faithfully supported the Kingdom
work through your prayers and finances.
God bless and keep you.
The Lord has provided another
organization to carry the supports mantle that Ripe for Harvest has been carrying.
Heart of Africa is the new organization
taking over. My sincere thanks and
appreciation goes to Ripe for Harvest
for the opportunity they afforded me to serve our Lord under their banner and
direction. They faithfully and
transparently served, encouraged and motivated me in serving the Lord. I pray for the Lord’s abundant
blessings for all the staff associates of Ripe for Harvest.
I am thankful to the Lord for
Heart of Africa for their willingness
to accept me to serve the Lord together with them. I pray that the glory of God will continue to
be magnified in my life and ministry in this new direction. I pray that all your supports (prayer,
financial, moral, emotional, etc.) will increase even more to the glory of
Jesus Christ. Support should now be sent
