MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!...

 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. – 2 Thes. 2:16-17

Glory to the King of Heaven, our Father who gave us His Son so that because of His grace and mercy, we have hope of spending eternity with Him in perpetual joy and peace!  Amen!

Christmas celebration is here!  One serious observation is that both Christians and non-Christians celebrate the day doing the same things in the same places.  The beaches are jammed packed, movie theatres are crowded and many amusement places are overcrowded.  Going to these places are NOT wrong, but after seeing and doing the same things together with those who do not know the Savior, a Christian finds that witnessing about Jesus, the Greatest Gift, becomes difficult.  This year, the Lord is leading us to create an alternative to location and amusement for our people.  Our church bought three acres of land in the deep suburb of the city.  Our entire congregation will head to the land and spend the entire day discussing issues such as the Christmas and its real meaning; the challenges and joy of being a Christian, especially in such a time as this end time, etc.  we will also be playing games, (cards, volleyball and soccer, and other traditional games to the glory of God).  We will also watch moves, including old times movies such as John Bunyan’s “Pilgrim’s Progress” and etc.  We will discuss and analyze their impacts on people during the time the movies were made and their effective on us now if any.

These activities and interactions will be accompanied by good and health eating.  This is also very important because many people can hardly afford a real and enjoyable meal worthy of such occasion.  Members have been asked to bring whatever they were going to prepare for day and we will prepare and share them together with everyone.

The announcement of this Christmas celebration plan sent a wave of shouts, cheers and jubilation through the congregation when the church administrator made it.  The excitement is still growing.  The residents of the suburb area are in high gear to grace the occasion.  Please pray with us that the Lord will lead us to use this means to lead many people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

We have setup an office for the church ready for use.  This has been a challenge since we moved our worship place to a school building.  The lack of office created a serious challenge to working effectively.  We were working from various homes and on weekends to get some office works done.  Active office work will begin this December.  Praise the Lord!

A brother, Steve Courchaine, from USA will visit us for a little over a week in the first half of December to minister to us.  A three-day revival services have been planned during which time, Steve will minister.  We are praying that the Lord will lead to the services people who are genuinely desiring and seeking Him.  Our prayers are that they will come seeking their desires, but find Jesus Christ and His love.

My vehicle is worn out now and is presenting lots of problems resulting to too much spending and little use.  This is also slowing my effectiveness significantly.  Transportation is a challenge and growing harder by the days.  I am trusting the Lord for a better vehicle.  Would you pray to the Lord and consider becoming a partner in this endeavor?  All donations can be sent to Heart of Africa info below.

Thanks to all of you who helped Augustine and his family for the setup of a business for his wife.  All the funds are available now.  We are setting up the business now.  When it is complete, we will send you photos and short video.
