Dearly Beloved,
I thank our God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for His continuous presence and daily working in our midst. “Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.” Ps. 68:19. Yes, the Lord carries our burdens day after day. This can be clearly seen or noticed when the burdens are frequent and heavier. Praise God He is faithful!
We are striving to get people trained
to join in the ministry work of preaching, teaching and leading small
groups. I have only one person who
assists me at the moment, but he also is heavily engaged. He is not as available as I need him. I have momentarily suspended the counseling
and reduced my involvement with the Caregivers
outreach due to my pastoral responsibilities.
It was difficult for me to make those decisions, but it was just absolutely
necessary to do so. Please pray with us
that God will raise up people to join the work.
We negotiated with the owner of
the current place where we are worshipping and have been given an extension to the
end of the year. Praise the Lord for
granting us favor to continue to worship where we are!
We have contacted and are
currently waiting on Bible Society that sells the New Testament voice recording
in the various Liberian languages. They
are currently out of the materials, but have placed new orders. As soon as the orders arrive, we hope to be
ready to pay and collect our orders and distribute them to those who need
them. Please join us in prayer that they
will arrive soon.
Liberia has lost her Ebola-free
status, but we are not careless, alarmed or panicky as we were during the
initial outbreak. The fact that we have good
knowledge of the disease and how to effectively fight it (we know the disease
and its tragic effect, its means of spread, and what to do to contain it), is a
powerful weapon we are utilizing.
Yesterday, a pastor friend of mine visited me (we regularly meet to pray
together) from the area where the Ebola death occurred. He told me how he went to comfort the victim’s
family who were quarantined. He went
purposely to encourage them not to panic, but saw that they were calmed and
interactive, keeping all the necessary precautions in place to contain the
disease should it still be around there.
The family themselves had done their own contact tracing investigations and
took all the necessary steps to reduce its spread before government could even
got involved in the process. We believe
it will be contained quickly. However, we
appreciate all the prayers we can get.
Many people joined us initially
because of the excitement that is in beginning new things. After two and a half years now, we are no
longer experiencing the excitement of new beginning though some routines are
still being fully established and doctrines are still being studied. Some people have left–and others have joined–to
the glory of God, and for which we are grateful and thankful to our Lord Jesus
Christ!
My prayers have been that people
will learn the uselessness of life-without-Jesus from the civil war, Ebola epidermis
and other tragedies and turn to God.
Well, all of us who are praying as such should continue because it seem people
are drunk with thoughts and desires that make godliness a stench and even
repulsive. But Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior! He is not limited! He breaks into the thoughts and desires of
people redeeming and transforming! As
the darkness gets thicker, the light of God shines brighter. What a great God we serve! I take so much comfort in His Word, “Not by might nor by power, but by my
Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty” Zach. 4:6. He is the One who convicts and
redeems! When we make ourselves available,
we will find Him at work in us!
We are praying for America and
Americans! Jesus is LORD forever and
ever!!! As you have upheld, and continue
to uphold the propagation of the Gospel throughout the world, may our Savior
Jesus Christ uphold you at all times and in all circumstances! We are daily informed of what is transpiring
in America – from shootings to Supreme Court decisions! Thanks be to our God who gave us His Word to inform,
encourage and empower us in all situations: “With
flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people
who know their God will firmly resist him.” Dan. 11:32. May our Holy God shine through His people in
all circumstances! We are standing with
you in prayers!
Thank you all
for your continuous encouragements and supports. I am grateful to the Lord and to you. It is my sincere prayer that you will continue
with your supports. If you are not yet
on my support team, would you prayerfully consider joining? Donations can
